A man who robbed at least three South Florida businesses within a week is now in custody. Broward Sheriff’s Office robbery detectives arrested Michael Davies at 3:10 a.m. today following a surveillance operation.

The 56-year-old armed robber was taken into custody on Sept. 6 in a shopping plaza at 301 S.W. 26th Ave. in Pompano Beach.

Davies is facing four charges, including aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.

Around 10:50 PM August 29, the suspect walked into a Domino’s at 1436 E. Atlantic Blvd. in Pompano Beach.

He paused in front of the restaurant counter, covered his face with a ski mask and produced a weapon from his shorts.

The robber then chased the frightened employee around the kitchen and into the office where he stole cash from a register till.

Two days later, he appeared at an Oakland Park convenience store.

It was just after midnight Aug. 31 when the suspect walked into the 7-Eleven at 600 E. Oakland Park Blvd. He looked around and appeared to be leaving when he turned and walked behind the counter.

With his weapon bared, the suspect demanded the clerk open the cash drawer and stole money. He left in a dark-colored car.

Then around 1:40 AM September 04, the armed robber entered the convenience store at 1500 S. Cypress Road.

He approached the clerk, produced a weapon and ordered the employee to open the cash register. He left with cash but not before he knocked his baseball cap off his balding head.

Anyone with additional information regarding Davies is asked to contact BSO Robbery Det. Armando Enrique at 954-321-4233. If you wish to remain anonymous, contact Broward Crime Stoppers at 954-493-TIPS (8477) or online at browardcrimestoppers.org.
