FSC Chief Justice Coming to Broward Thursday to Talk to All Broward Judges
Help is on the way to Broward County.
Florida Supreme Court Chief Justice is coming to Broward Thursday to talk to ALL Broward Judges.
We don’t think he’s coming here to pass out awards.
This morning Broward’s seventeenth judicial circuit chief judge Jack Tuter Sent a letter out to ALL Broward judges today telling them there will be a meeting on Thursday April 26, at 12:15 with Florida Supreme Court Chief Justice Jorge Labarga. He also said the meeting is mandatory for all judges.
Apparently the chief judge of the state is taking the time out of his very busy schedule to fly all the way from Tallahassee for a just thirty minute meeting with Broward judges, and he wants them ALL there.
Considering the short time for the meeting and the recent events in Broward courts he’s not coming to hand out any awards to them.
Judges the Chief Justice will be here THURSDAY APRIL 26 to meet with our Judges.
The meeting will be at 1215 in courtroom 15150.
The meeting is mandatory for all judges unless you are out of town or excused by your admin judge.
The meeting should be approximately 30 minutes
Thanks much for attending
With the recent death of Sandra Faye Twiggs last week after her release from jail, and the video we published on our YouTube channel and the JAAB Blog for Public Defender Howard Finkelstein to see of the treatment Sandra received at the hands of Broward County judge Merrilee Ehrlich it doesn’t take a genius to figure out why he’s coming.
We also posted this video of Broward Judge Joel T. Lazarus Caught on a “Hot Mic” on Jan 21, 2018, on our YouTube channel, and again on JAAB that also resulted in Broward’s Public Defender Howard Finkelstein demanding that the retired the judge that hears foreclosures, being barred from hearing any more criminal cases.
Rapper Kodak Black was in court that day.
With the resignation of Broward County Judge Claudia Robinson back in January, the total of number of Broward County judges that have been removed or disciplined by the Florida Supreme Court since 2000, to a grand total now of sixteen. Source-Florida Supreme Court Archives.
For a comparison; Miami-Dade county has only four, and Palm Beach county only has two. Not only shocking, but extremely embarrassing, for the Broward County Court.
So what’s the buzz around the courthouse? Really it’s all over the place, some saying it will just be the same old, same old, to the The Florida Supreme Court may have gone as far as taking control of the Broward court, and having it absorbed and merged with either the Miami-Dade court system, or Palm beaches.
Who knows, we’ll have to wait till Thursday to find out. It’s really sad it had to come to a woman’s death for them to take any kind of action, but if you happen to be reading this Justice Labarga; Put an end to this once and for all!
ENOUGH IS ENOUGH
One thing is for sure, on Thursday of this week, all Broward County judges are going to have a real bad day.
We would just love to be a fly on the wall at that meeting.
