ARMED ROBBER DOES A NUMBER ON STORE TAKES CASH AND LOTTO TICKETS-Just after midnight Thursday, a male walked into a North Lauderdale convenience store and left with cash and lottery tickets. Broward Sheriff’s Office robbery detectives are releasing surveillance video of the incident in the hopes that someone can identify the culprit.
It was about 12:10 a.m. July 13, when the suspect first entered the Mobil gas station store at 7100 Kimberly Blvd. He asked for a pack of cigarettes, and as the clerk handed the cigarettes to the robber, the clerk was met with a gun. The armed robber demanded that the employee empty the register till and give him the roll of scratch-off lotto tickets.
The suspect is described as being about 6 feet tall and having a stocky build. He wore a baseball cap, black hoodie and pants. He had his hands so full with the bag of cash and the lottery tickets that he stuffed the gun into the front of his pants.
Anyone with information is asked to contact BSO Detective Mohammad Razi at 954-321-4547. If you wish to remain anonymous, contact Broward Crime Stoppers at 954-493-TIPS (8477) or online at browardcrimestoppers.org. Anonymous tips that lead to an arrest are eligible for a reward of up to $3,000.
