Reward-Date: March 31, 2017                               PIO Number: 17-3-41

Reward-At approximately 8:40 a.m. Feb. 17, Publix cameras at 1170 Weston Road captured a white man in a tan hoodie as he entered the store. The man selected multiple pints of ice cream and a pre-made sandwich along with several individual Tide detergent pods and concealed them all in his jacket, creating a rather large and suspicious bulge. He then nervously approached the customer service counter, but instead of paying for the items he had hidden in plain sight he chose to buy a lottery ticket.

Store employees saw the large bulge in the man’s jacket and noticed that he seemed to be very uneasy. Possibly sensing the jig was up, the man suddenly dropped all the items to the floor, but then bent over to pick up a few detergent pods before he fled.

The thief is described as a white male, possibly in his early 20s, with a medium build, brown hair and brown facial hair. He wore a tan hoodie, carpenter pants, a baseball cap, sunglasses and athletic shoes.
