ROBBERY DETECTIVES ASK FOR PUBLIC’S HELP TO SOLVE COLD CASE

COLD CASE-On the evening of May 1, a senior citizen was attacked and robbed by an unidentified man while making a deposit at a Wells Fargo ATM in Pompano Beach. After initially chasing down several fruitless leads, detectives are asking the for public’s help to identify the robber.
COLD CASE-The man appeared to be using the ATM next to the victim, but just before she deposited her cash, he reached over and snatched several hundred dollars from her hand. He then grabbed her, and the two struggled for several minutes.
During the struggle, the victim’s watch was torn from her wrist and fell to the floor. Once the victim was able to break free, the suspect momentarily fled. He quickly returned, punched the elderly victim several times about the face and grabbed the watch from the floor.
The robber is described as a black male, possibly in his early 30s. He had a medium, athletic build, dark hair which was cut short and a dark goatee. He wore an athletic sleeveless shirt, athletic shorts, sneakers and a baseball cap. He fled in a dark-colored four-door Toyota.
